Amanda Campbell, Vera Bradley Design Associate on our Product Development team, is known around the office for her energy and enthusiasm. You know her work from our special collections, such as Vera Vera or the recently-launched Middleton collection, but what you may not know is that her creative skills go beyond her day job. She bakes, she sews, she crafts, she reupholsters … she even started White Owl Studio, where she teaches crafting and sewing classes out of her home.
Needless to say, when she offered to have us over, we jumped at the chance. Who wouldn’t want to see the home of the girl that can d.i.y. just about anything?
Amanda and her husband Dan, with Guinness, their 2 1/2 year old labradoodle. Amanda reupholstered the thrift store couches with laminated fabric from Michael Miller.
Dan and Amanda made the dining room table themselves out of reclaimed barn wood.
The couple recently renovated their kitchen with Ikea cabinets and countertops, and a subway tile backsplash.
Prints from Sass & Peril
Amanda made the guest room headboard made from vintage baby crib.
Amanda runs White Owl Studio from the basement of her home, where she teaches craft and sewing classes. The couple re-finished the space as a studio the year they moved in.
Pin cushion from Pretty Lil Things on Etsy.
Amanda proudly displays a shadow box of mustaches with their “scientific names,” a wedding present from our very own Liz on Location. “I have a thing for mustaches and owls,” she tell us.
Known for her delicious whoopie pies, Amanda uses this recipe when baking for her friends and co-workers.
A big thank you to Amanda and Dan for letting us share your beautiful home!
