We’re big fans of Vera Bradley Product Development Design Associate Amanda Campbell’s personal style, so when we decided to show wardrobe options for some of our most popular bags and accessories on Inside Stitch, she seemed like a natural choice for our first installment.
While we selected the Chain Bag, we left the color up to her. “Folkloric is my all-time favorite pattern,” she says. “It’s versatile enough for any season, and fits my earthy personality.” Amanda hit an array of varying price points and knocked this one – in our opinions – out of the park!

“I’m not good at paring down the contents of my purse, so instead of taking the time to grab only essentials, I would remove the long chain part through the toggle and drape the Chain Bag over my wrist using the shorter strap. Instant chic!”

I received this bag for my birthday. I love the style of it; however, using the chain for a crossbody look does not work as it’s not long enough. It’s fine to wear on your shoulder, but likely will not work crossbody, unless your really small.
I agree with you. It is not long enough. I wish it was so that I could try an across the body look.

I luv both outfits, but especially the Chain Bag! If I ever carry another Vera purse it would be the Chain Bag. (My current purse is the Concert Clutch Crossbody)
I’d by one in most colors. Only thing keeping me back is no support insert and the bag loses it’s shape when full. Also really would love at least one exterior pocket maybe on an end for a cell & keys.
Agreed! I wish there was at least one pocket on the end for my phone. The little pocket in the middle isn’t quite deep enough and I am afraid that my phone will fall out.
