It’s Wednesday, and we’re back and feeling craftier than ever! Product Development intern Erin, from our New York office, has supplied a fresh batch of pretty, repurposed projects you’re going to love, so without further adieu, let’s d.i.y., shall we?

Decorative Candles
What you’ll need:
i heart eco Calendar, tea light, double-stick tape, ruler, scissors and a pencil
The rest is easy as one, two, three …
1. Tear out a page of your calendar and measure about 3/4 inch in from the eyelet border. Make a mark with your pencil and repeat on the other end of the paper. Draw a line, horizontally, connecting the two dots and cut along that line.
2. Wrap the strip around your tea light. Make a mark where the paper overlaps, allowing about a 1/2 inch of extra paper. Use your scissors to cut off the extra paper and place double-stick tape on the overlapping area. Wrap around the candle and press firmly.
3. Light the candle and enjoy!
Cute
Very cute idea! Reuse and Recycle!
I don’t like this idea because the danger of the paper burning is too great.
I agree. Definitely should not be where children are.
Buy the ones from the craft store that are battery operated. I make these for gifts and those are the only ones I use…. battery operated tea lights.
This project scares me…too dangerous
I think it is a great project for mature adults !!! Very pretty!!
I think the design idea with the scalloped edges is very pretty and a great idea! I would be more comfortable with this being used with a tea light that is battery operated.
The battery operated tea light is a safety must for this one.
Battery operated light is the wise choice here. Always, safety first, especially if small children are around.
