The great thing about this D.I.Y. is its versatility! Use these decorative balls as a centerpiece, string several onto ribbon for ornaments or garland, or as a unique gift wrap for money or a note. You can find more color inspiration and the full tutorial on the blogĀ How About Orange, here.

Paper Ball Ornaments
What you’ll need: Divider pages from a Vera Bradley Agenda, scissors and the template (available here).
1. Use your template (you can fit two of the medium-size template shapes on one page) to trace and cut out 12 shapes.
2. Once you have 12 shapes cut out, begin assembling your ornament by attaching the slots together.
3. Continue creating your ball by adding one side at a time.
4. When you have joined all 12 shapes, you’re done. Gorgeous!
These are so pretty. I wish I had an old agenda so I could make them.
I remember making a ball similar to these in Jr Hi math class. We made a circle with our protractor, then marked off 3 points on the circumference of the circle, drew a straight line between the points to make a triangle within the circle. These were the fold lines for the flaps. They could be made with the flaps on either the inside or the outside. What fun when using Christmas cards also.
Super cute!!! Have to make them!!!
These are great!
I love the patterned and solid colors blending together
Those are so adorable… I still want to design projects for you! It’s peeps week at my blog http://jennicanknit.blogspot.com/2012/03/peeps-treats.html
Love this idea! Been wanting to use the agenda papers for something special!
Found the instructions kind of confusing…couldn’t figure out how to fit the slits together. Instead, I turned the flower shapes into a beautiful garland. I love it so much better than the ornament.
Thanks Vera Bradley! What a great idea, and could be used to “recycle” pretty cards too … Christmas, Valentine’s, birthday, etc.
I cut out all the pieces but can’t get them put together…..ugh!
