The second of our wonderful Winter patterns is English Rose, our nod to a life spent roaming the romantic English countryside and a genteel state of mind. Trend Reporter Liz elaborates:

What it looks like …
“English Rose is a chintz-inspired pattern incorporating a range of fall foliage hues on a chocolate ground. Mulberry, plum and dusty rose collide in layers of delicate petals on cabbage rose blooms, while hints of kelly green and turquoise suggest that spring is on the way. Inside, you’ll find a miniature print mimicking the traditional outer color.”
What inspired it …
“This print is the traditional side of luxury – think dapper English gentlemen, distinguished gatherings, oil paintings, styles trimmed in leather, English manors and the countryside.”
How to wear it …
“When it comes to an everyday look, it’s all about layers! I’m picturing preppy, cable-knit sweaters with button-down shirts underneath, denim or corduroy with tall riding boots; in a nutshell, our Co-founder Barbara Bradley Baekgaard’s classic style. Transition this color to evening by pairing it with a tailored wide leg pant and blazer (go for the leather elbow patches), or a skirt with leggings and boots or flats, and a sweater with a collared button-down underneath.”

so pretty! Love this pattern!
Love this one! Definitely on my Christmas list!
My daughter’s middle name is Rose so this is a must have for me!
I love the pop of blue in the roses!
I agree, I do not understand why there is so many complaints. This is just a beautiful pattern and I would use it year round. Yesterday I looked at all my bags and find the quality is as good as ever. I am sorry that they have to be made not in the USA, but the quality remains as good as ever. The new patterns are lovely and thanks Vera B for them. Keep up making us happy!!
My new favorite!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!

FINALLY! A pattern I really like! It’s been a while since a Vera pattern has caught my eye but this is lovely. Not sure about the chocolate brown background but can’t wait to see it in person. Its been a long time since a Vera floral has had me ready to spend!
I am not a traditional, super femme type of woman, so imagine my surprise when I fell in love with this pattern. It is so gorgeous, so lush, with just enough of an abstract take to make it interesting.
Patterns are beautiful ….. but where do I find the grey boots this model is wearing? I want to buy them.
LOVE this pattern. I am pretty picky about the Vera patterns and think that many of them can look old, cheap or cheesy. I think this one is BEAUTIFUL! I saw it in person and fell in love!
Someone please tell me where the models outfit came from…dying to know.
This is my new favorite pattern… for me, this is the best pattern since Symphony in Hue! I spray all my VB with a product called Vectra – it’s like Scotch Guard, but better.
